These blackberry canes and snow shadows in my garden last year captured my heart, so I started with sketches, created a smaller square painting, and then this larger version. It won second place in the Lehigh Art Alliance juried holiday show January 2023. I started teaching myself how to paint with oils at the end of 2019.
