Journey to Nirvana

Inspired by the cycle of life, when I found out my furbaby, Sammy was diagnosed with Stage 3 kidney disease. I took to the canvas as art therapy, and initially, a serene sunset appeared. To deal with the tumultuous emotions I later placed grains of broken glass gravel to represent the beach which would be painful to walk on but also looks like baby turtles hatching and scurrying to the ocean for their life's journey. I used Prisme fantasy paint as clouds for a celestial theme where control is released to the heavens and the turtles' souls are revealed, very much representing a soul cycle. The clouds appear almost reptilian and like sea turtles in heaven. The lightning is my tortuous anger at the world for the suffering that animals and humans must endure when there should be peace and harmony in it's place.
This is very much creating something out of my comfort zone but at the same time extremely therapeutic.
