"I Used To Be Blue" is a painting done for a recent solo gallery show "Old Wheels" in Bozeman, Montana. I searched out vehicles, like this one, with "faces" that showed character, then worked to capture their personalities and uniqueness, just as a portrait painter would capture the uniqueness and story behind a face. My medium is watercolor, and my signature style is rich color achieved by multiple layers of paint, and "you can feel it" texture achieved with various tools and tiny brushes to capture minute detail.
