A friend visited me last spring and brought a bouquet
of very brazen Parrotia tulips. I already had some soft purple Meadowrue in the vase on my table and had company coming so I hurriedly tossed them in together. I had so many comments about that arrangement! Mostly people loved the combination but I think personally it's a bit much. Still, they seemed happy together so they lived out their days for a week or so and I couldn't resist painting them.
