"Sandhill Crane Morning"
How does one paint silence? This I ask myself, now back in my studio. Perhaps a square format and a simple value structure to hold our focus fairly still. Warm/cool vibrations and soft edges will gently play across our field of vision. Subtle gradations throughout. As I recall this morning’s experience, though, something is missing. Ah, yes, I can hint at the missing element in my title: the rolling calls of the sandhill cranes.
