Autumn Journey

Autumn Journey, Nocturne
Autumn Journey
The bulls tend to go off by themselves after mating season. Or so I am told. They wander the park, sometimes congregating, but often staying by themselves. It's a bit of a melancholy scene. There is so much character in these creatures that one can watch for hours. I was once painting in the park, with my daughter, who was photographing the bison who were laying down across a small valley. After an hour or so, one of them got up, started grazing and very slowly over the next hour, made his way over to us! We waited until we deemed it would be expedient for us to jump in our truck!! Time to go. We have such a fun life.
