Vitruvian Woman
This work is a retelling of Leonardo Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man, in the female aspect. Here I reflect on the physical field of the human being, celebrating the body of the Goddess. The open arms reflect the woman's freedom to make her own choices and the solar mandala of crystals enhances this feminine power energy. Now I bring here an invitation to reflection: what is a physical body? I believe it is the “home” of our consciousness and our soul during this experience as human beings. Our body is our temple. And I believe that mainly we women, who were often influenced by all this historical and social context to seek a certain standard of beauty, should have autonomy over our choices regarding what we should do with our body, through our own eyes, our own conscience, and especially our self-respect.
