Chasing the Tide at Kendall-Frost Marsh

This was painted at Kendall-Frost Marsh Reserve in San Diego, CA on "Love your Wetlands Day" in February 2023. The California Art Club hosted a paint out and other organizations provided education and conservation related activities throughout the day (like removing 296 lbs of trash!). I like all the subtle colors of the marsh that kind of creep up on you while painting. A little bit of the RV park peeks over the scene and I wanted to include that since there are plans to possibly remove it in the future to expand the wilderness.
