The waterfall was painted in Plein air at the Publishers Invitational during a year that had a lot of rainfall.
The water was abundant and created many interesting patterns in the falls. It is certain that I spent a lot more time studying the falls than painting them...it was quite complex but very exciting to paint the colors, light and movement!
